Default Quantity Tiers & Pricing Adjustments

  • Part Quantity of 1–49 parts: The system multiplies the material cost per part by 1.2, adding 20% for small quantity orders.

  • Part Quantity of 50–99 parts: The system multiplies the material cost per part by 1.1, adding 10% for moderate quantity orders.

  • Part Quantity of 100+ parts: The system multiplies the material cost per part by 1, applying no additional cost for high quantity orders.

How it Works in the Quote

When a customer enters a part quantity in their RFQ, the system automatically determines which tier applies and adjusts the material cost per part accordingly. Smaller quantities receive a higher markup; larger quantities automatically benefit from lower pricing.
