Customer Ranking Configuration

The Customer Ranking Configuration lets you apply better pricing to specific customers by assigning a ranking (A–D, 1–5, etc.). Each ranking applies a preset discount to quotes and can be updated at any time.

Default Customer Rankings & Discounts

  • Customer Ranking of A: The system multiplies the operation setup, labor, and machine cost per part by 0.90, providing your best customers with a 10% discount.

  • Customer Ranking of B: The system multiplies the operation setup, labor, and machine cost per part by 0.92, providing an 8% discount to customers in this category.

  • Customer Ranking of C: The system multiplies the operation setup, labor, and machine cost per part by 0.97, providing a 3% discount to customers in this category.

  • Customer Ranking of D: The system multiplies the operation setup, labor, and machine cost per part by 1, providing no discount so customers pay full price.




How It Works in the Quote


When you create a quote for a customer, Parts Portal automatically applies the multiplier associated with their ranking. Higher-ranked customers receive more favorable pricing, and lower-ranked customers receive standard pricing.

Vendors can identify their customers' rank with any letters, numbers, or words and do not have to use the default customer ranking A, B, C, and D.
