Operations can also be set to inactive if they are temporarily unavailable.

Adding Setup, Labor, and Machine Rates & Times

Each operation supports detailed cost configuration to ensure accurate quoting.

You can define:

  • Setup time and setup rate

  • Labor time and hourly labor rate

  • Machine time and hourly machine rate

These values are used during quote calculations to determine operation-level costs per part.

Scheduling Hours & Capacity Dashboard

Scheduled hours represent the total available production time for each operation.

How this works:

  • Scheduled hours feed directly into the Capacity Dashboard.

  • Quotes and accepted orders consume available hours.

  • Capacity visibility helps prevent overbooking.

Keeping scheduled hours up to date ensures realistic lead times and accurate delivery estimates.

Configuring Lead Time Multipliers

Lead time multipliers allow vendors to adjust pricing based on delivery urgency.

How lead time multipliers work:

  • Faster lead times apply higher multipliers.

  • Longer lead times reduce or eliminate multipliers.

  • Multipliers are applied at the operation level during quoting.

This ensures rush jobs reflect the true cost of prioritization.

Tip: Review operations regularly to ensure rates, availability, and multipliers align with current shop capacity and business strategy.
